Univ of West Indies, Barbados, film series
Every other Friday throughout the school year, UWI shows art films that are not generally widely distributed from countries around the world. This is an all volunteer group. We will be showing "The Tango Lesson" April 21, 2006. I will be introducing the film but certainly wish YOU could be here to introduce it yourself. This is an entirely volunteer group with no funding...I will be more than happy to host you if you can find a way to visit Barbados. See PR at http://www.bajan.info/tango.htm. I wish I could be with you, but I will be in mid-air on that day, returning from a week in New York to London, to meet up there with Pablo Veron, the star of The Tango Lesson!
I hope the screening goes well. I love volunteer film groups, by the way. It was in similar groups that I got my best film education, watching films handpicked by the organisers, chosen out of love and curiosity. Wonderful. Congratulations for doing what you do.
