Proposal for a Sally Potter Film Festival
Dear Sally,

I've been sharing your wonderful films with many people in a wandering film class in Westchester County. They are fine films and art. When I happened to hear on NPR that you were going to be at Barnes & Nobles at Union Square, Manhattan I left my son who had accused me of being a Sally Potter stalker because I cut our lunch date short and rushed into NYC at rush hour to acknowledge your work.

You may recall that I mentioned, "Like paintings in the Metropolitan Museum of Art your films should be there too." It was very difficult for me to approach you for further acknowlegment because I was still under the influence of being a falsely accused stalker. I was grateful that my communicating skills couldn't be suppressed and that we shared some more comments and you crossed your fingers hoping for this film. I was a little bewildered there for a moment because every film has been so successful in very rich meaning. I was not thinking business.
I am writing you today, saddened that I heard the only theater
showing "Yes" is in Kew Gardens, Queens. I would love to propose a Sally Potter Film Festival. How about the Jacob Burns Film Center in Westchester County. I also interact for Peace and have the "Scarlet Letters" Shalom etched into my chest for Middle Eastern Peace.
Keep sharing your wonderful stuff.

YES in USA
Thank you for your offer. However, YES has had (and continues to have)an amazing run for an independent film. It is unfortunate that you were given this information as, after opening in several major cinemas in New York, YES continues to screen throughout the US despite having been on general release for over seven weeks.
